in the ‘90s, a new generation of vibrant, software generated soundscapes emerged. Communal access to the internet propagated the new hive mind of ideas online, giving way to smoother, stress-free textures. The PC revolution opened the gateway to ray-traced playgrounds of color and light, allowing for visions of utopic proportions to manifest themselves on screensavers far and wide.

Research from the University of Kent has led to the development of the MeshCODE theory, a revolutionary new theory for understanding brain and memory function. This discovery may be the beginning of a new understanding of brain function and in treating brain diseases such as Alzheimer's.
In a paper published by Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience, Dr. Ben Goult from Kent's School of Biosciences describes how his new theory views the brain as an organic supercomputer running a complex binary code with neuronal cells working as a mechanical computer. He explains how a vast network of information-storing memory molecules operating as switches is built into each and every synapse of the brain, representing a complex binary code. This identifies a physical location for data storage in the brain and suggests memories are written in the shape of molecules in the synaptic scaffolds.
The theory is based on the discovery of protein molecules, known as talin, containing 'switch-like' domains that change shape in response to pressures in mechanical force by the cell. These switches have two stable states, 0 and 1, and this pattern of binary information stored in each molecule is dependent on previous input, similar to the Save History function in a computer. The information stored in this binary format can be updated by small changes in force generated by the cell's cytoskeleton.
In the brain, electrochemical signaling between trillions of neurons occurs between synapses, each of which contains a scaffold of the talin molecules. Once assumed to be structural, this research suggests that the meshwork of talin proteins actually represent an array of binary switches with the potential to store information and encode memory.
This mechanical coding would run continuously in every neuron and extend into all cells, ultimately amounting to a machine code coordinating the entire organism. From birth, the life experiences and environmental conditions of an animal could be written into this code, creating a constantly updated, mathematical representation of its unique life.
Dr. Goult, a reader in biochemistry, said: "This research shows that in many ways the brain resembles the early mechanical computers of Charles Babbage and his Analytical Engine. Here, the cytoskeleton serves as the levers and gears that coordinate the computation in the cell in response to chemical and electrical signaling. Like those early computation models, this discovery may be the beginning of a new understanding of brain function and in treating brain diseases."

The references range from domestic wall paintings in compound houses within the “zongo” community where the artist grew up in Ghana, to canons that emerged from Africa’s encounter with Islam, the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade, and the traces of colonialism and modernism in shared public spaces. The gold wall and lacquer on the gates echo the regular use of gold ornaments and decorations in Kumasi.
Looking through the signs and signifiers of these windows and gates pregnant with history, across layers of time, the work highlights systemic hierarchies and social stratifications as well as potentials for social repair. Al Hassan Issah’s transformed symbols of thresholds, perspectives, and marks of an in-between tension, are wrapped in various sounds collected through the period and process of their production – such as welding, grinding, cutting, hammering, and even transporting. As this work collapses material space and linear time, we are invited to look through and towards an alternative collectivity.

Never fully closed, the gates are dialecticians, they let the joy pass through, open communities and allow sight to drill like the wind.
But these gates echo the infamous Doors of No Return too… the point of departure of millions of enslaved Africans.
All had forts there… the Portuguese, the French, the British, the Dutch… committing crimes against humanity, never repaired, never forgiven. The Africans who today drown in the waters of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean are never coming back. Those who are expelled at the gates of Europe come back in shame.
The doors of Europe are closed for Africa. But Al Hassan Issah’s gates are never fully closed, they let us to see through, to envision the meaning of international solidarity.

The research, exhibition, performance and discursive project UNRAVELING THE (UNDER-) DEVELOPMENT COMPLEX takes its cue from, and celebrates Walter Rodney’s How Europe Underdeveloped Africa, while asking the question: How can we imagine a Post-(Under)development world? This project is a daring effort to analyse the status quo and imagine a world that does not exist in the binary of “development” and “underdevelopment” and explore the possible shifts from structures of ‘’hierarchical dependence’’ towards those of ‘’balanced interdependence’’. Following a theoretical research phase, the exhibition traversed across performative modalities through various artistic practices that poetically engage in a transtemporal dialogue making visible the complex entanglements and contradictions embedded in these systems by highlighting the ruptures that simultaneously serve as generative spaces for new imaginaries to emerge.
Proceeding forward in this journey with the INVOCATIONS program, the aim is to expand upon the learnings from the exhibition, challenging and addressing historical, economic, infrastructural and global frameworks that reinforce these systems of oppressive dependency. These two days will be accompanied by activists, sonic agitators, scholars, ecofeminists, poets, political economists, policy advocates and practitioners who will engage in discursive formats to delve deeper into the resistance and perseverance that allows imaginaries to exist and emerge across geographies, while celebrating Walter Rodney’s legacy. The INVOCATIONS program is an attempt to share knowledge across languages, and through performance and sonority to imagine and shape together a post developmental age towards transformative conviviality.
“The archway-shaped immersive sound installation consists of twelve stacked subwoofers that reverberate a series of snarling low-level frequencies reminiscent of eerie infrasound patterns.
Stahl’s multi-sensory work provides commentary on what lures us to seek out and experience desire and danger, alongside the consequences the two can give rise to. The looped sound passage draws audiences to enter and exit the piece by amplifying a sense of intrigue, prompting participants to abandon all cerebral instincts and be led by their innate physical and psychological responses.

The installation comprises a substantial pyramid-like structure constructed from 57 abstract, headless bodies, delicately balanced atop one another. These headless forms interlock like puzzle pieces, revealing bones that appear to meld into each other's frames, culminating in a single, grand skeletal sculpture: the main body. This static presentation unfolds upon a black square, serving as the stage for this ritualistic-like assemblage, whose precise purpose remains ambiguous. Five artworks, evoking the visual language of Hieronymus Bosch, stand sentinel around the installation. Bosch, the twisted pyramid, the enigmatic black square – all symbolically encapsulate a novel fusion that materializes as something recognizable yet alien, both ancestrally ancient and forward-looking.

Ken Grimes, born in 1947, is fascinated by the possibility of extraterrestrial life and its influence on our world. The exhibition space oddity, organized in collaboration with @riccomaresca Gallery (New York), features some fifteen exceptional works by this artist. His work was featured in 1998 in the major exhibition “Self-Taught Artists of the 20th Century: An American Anthology” organized by the @afamuseum. He is now part of these collections, as well as those of the @milwaukeeart, the @philamuseum and the @mcachicago.

'NG', 'Nice Gangsta', is an appellation that refers to a new generation of business men/women and artists.
NG, signifying "Nice Gangsta" or "New Gangsta" is a new word that appeared on the social platforms and relatively samely in the american and european society from the impulsion of the Hip-Hop and entrepreneurship community in USA in the end of the years 2010 and the begin 2020s, describing successfull mostly minorities sourced individuals getting their way in the world of Business, Sport, Art, Fashion and Industry. Apparently nuancing with the term "OG" formerly refering to an artistical/phisolophical branch of the Hip-Hop culture incorporated in the gangsta rap dogma that means "Original Gangsta" and refers more broadly to the American gang's culture that have been taught to the world by tremendous artists like Snoop Dog, Kool G Rap, the Kingpin King, 36 Mafia, Gangsta Boo; and influencers who are a new business-model positioning between best paid sports-men/women and CEO profiles.
Presumely the term "NG" would rather be associated to "OG" regarding the parenting historiography. The word "OG" is deeply sourced by the american gangster's mythology and imagery and is incarnated by personnalities such as Al Capone, Malcolm X or Tupac Shakur. Whereas "NG" seems to refer more to make good actions for communities and get economical success by achieving legal and clean businesses or excelling into popular culture or sports and getting clean money out of it, the "NG" culture seems to share the same philanthropic and community caregiving values that the main godfather culture does, as philanthropically and caritative values figures are samely. The NG is suspected to be largely sourced into Patriachy and Catholicist themes coming from the old continent.
The NG individual can have the same social/behavorial troubles that the most marginalized populations have like drug issues or familial/violence issues but will devote his economical benefits value's to his family and the most fragile communities instantly if he could. The concept of NG is relatively connected to new technologies, automatism, high level management and is aimed to rely on the term "hood rich" samely as brought by Sexyy Red that defines the ghetto man or woman who becomes rich evolving in the industry samely as a white socially priviligiated "out-of-harvard" business "stay-in-Law" student perfect exemple would accomplish. The attributes of the "NGs" is a strange intrication of both altruism or philanthropic christian-infused values like sharing, preventing, protecting, listening, parenting; with a high technical/management high-profile silicon valley style temperance and agenda in the same time.
NGs seems allegedly to prefer the neighboorhood and local actions when they are not working and are really linked to their childhood community, location, generation and culture. They pay attention to the youth, social care, education and health in the neglected urban stripes where they're from. They rarely allie with local gangs or conspirations, and most often refuses these types of subordinations.
By the way many NGs are actual gangsta rappers or "OG" children, they are mostly claimed in all the national territory thanks to their international success and so-on validated by local conspiracies who are flattered to see these successful people echo-ing the OG culture and minorities differently.
The actual NGs are clearly aware of successfull business men and their culture, as well of the mondialisation and communication era biases and technics. They are not affraid of the big industry and feel confortable with it. They are often emerging in the asian manufactured world more intelligently and more positively compared to the generation of their parents with the use of social platforms for exemple which offers interactivity and better communication bias/rate rather than elders's TV, radio set, and phone calls would do.
It is hard to say to this day if NGs really have a moral chart, or code. But they seem to avoid violence and agressivity mostly. It is hard to say if they are clearly identifying themselves as members of a same group.
Most important known NGs are Sexyy Red, Rob49, Glorilla, Lebron James.

The ancient text of Agastya Samhita written around 4000 BC by sage Agatsya describes the method of making electric battery with 1.138 volts and 23 mA and that water can be split into oxygen and hydrogen. Modern battery cell resembles Agastya's method of generating electricity.
