It was a long journey that started 3 years ago. At the time I discovered a lot of interestings artists along my rides on SC as I went commiting myself to think about contacting all of them for joining them to one same project.. By many various circonvolutions i went to some 50 percent of the project and already exhausted by some refusal and try handling the perfect mutation of the project growing by trigging antagonously the most any disrupting negative phenomena toward this one by contacting more artist and establish more accomplished relationships with them and then all the most fabulous people of this project accorded to support me fully and allowed me to grow the Setkani Comp an even bigger project. I deeply Remark the importance of the Artists I started to connect with like Charnel House, Ivy Told A Secret, Lend Me Under My Belly, Ostalgie, Grooveclowd, that comforted me to go forward against all kind of difficulties. Then the applying support of Rai Mundo, Noxin, José Roboter, Tabula Nul and Chicago Word Brigade sure lead me this to a pure destiny shit stuff. That comforted me again I was doing good.

From a time from I was mostly discomfiant and defiant about the others, I am happy to see that all these hours spent alone on Soundcloud led me to this project in wich I believe I have found a community that I know I can take care of and try to grow and be stronger with. Most of this project was directed during the Covid times, and project awaked me in that dedicated period to be more thrustfull toward humanity and be more positioned in a good looking toward it, be thrustfull in its ability to produce positive things as I consider that this project is an example of it eheh. Plus this is a beautiful feeling of internationalism that I am actually enjoying.

So many thanks to all participants and excuse me other ones a lot of you are already on my wishing list for the next edition you can trust me.

Instead of this brief introduction there will be almost 70 tracks and it will Rock A Lotttt !

The project is divided in two Parts plus extensive Bonus Part for full Comp Buyers (as wel in bandcamp).

It wil reveal some exclusives unreleased tracks and for the best do a little archive in wich the artists can be rewarded for their work, unless i am sad that a large part of them would disappear some day of Internet without having the reconaissance they diserved either not being relayed for posterity by any sort.

So I did this comp because I want them to be recognised and respected and remembered !!!!

It went as an overwhelming feeling to drive this project and learn to know a little bit of every musicians, I’ve been blessed by their generosity. Thank you really much Ivy, Lend me under my belly, Guura, Tabula Nul, Kim/Eleyan/Nathan of Grooveclowd !!! Charnel House, Ostalgie, Joe, Noxin, Ut35, Antonius, Jose Roboter, Majik Majix, Hazel, Polow, Tarka, FM2030, Janomax, Ayurweda, Ama Shyioka, Angus Cripplebottom, The Flies and all of the participants of this maravilloso project and people who helped to its end in some sort. And I am very proud of this one.

"Mysterious and great American producer only publishing on internet. Bio: Ivy Told a Secret is the current musical project of Lantz Stephenson [aka Ivy] a multi-instrumentalist who had his beginnings in the Punk Rock scene of Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1970s. After playing keyboards, guitar, and percussion/drums in bands such as Ministry of Broadcast (warming up for Jah Wobble and the Invaders of the Heart), String of Coincidence, and The Slabs until the mid-1980s, he continued his musical journey in the 21st century with his space jazz project Eclabousser formed in 2005.
Starting in 2014 he formed the shamanic tribal project known as Ivy Told a Secret. To date Ivy has released hundreds of songs on SoundCloud and over six albums available on 30 plus markets worldwide. Influences for Ivy Told a secret include such diverse music as Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Gong, Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman, Blurt, Clock DVA and Robert Fripp."

From 79, he starts recording a lot of improvised music from concerts and work with Incus, hat Hut, Po-Torch, Rift, Rec Rec, Celluloïd....
In 83, he release « Abattage », his first solo album that forged itself as a masterpiece of the electro-acoustic-non-academical underground french scene. In the 90s appears his own still-active trio « Marteau Rouge » with Jean-François Pauvros and Makoto Sato then he belongs some times the record label Potlatch.
Since about 10 years, he multiplies an astronomical amount of collaborations with for example Sylvain Guérineau, Joe McPhee... more recently, Fred Marty, Claude Parle, Quentin Rollet, Augustin Brousselloux, Emmanuelle Parrenin, Simon Henocq...
